Update from the first mortgagee
The new site fencing and general clean-up — funded by the first mortgagee at its own cost — are complete. The site will be marketed for sale as is; there are no redevelopment plans.
The first mortgagees for Big Splash wish to provide the following update.
The new site fencing and general clean-up are now complete, funded and carried out by the first mortgagee at its own cost. At this stage we are assessing what is practical and feasible for the site.
The slides and existing buildings will not be demolished. The site will be kept secure and maintained while its future is assessed.
The first mortgagee will soon begin to market the site for sale as is — there are no redevelopment plans associated with the site or its sale.
The current lease obligations will apply to any purchaser, and the sale process will continue regardless of any other work on the site.
All parties with an interest in the facility are encouraged to engage in the sale process. This website will be used to provide regular updates.
